Privacy Policy

Effective 20 July 2026 · applies to the vikket app and vikket.com

The short version: vikket is local-first. Your matches, players and stats live on your phone. We show no ads and sell nothing. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site and app are used. The only personal data we hold directly is your email address (only if you turn on the optional sync), and you can delete it from inside the app at any time.

1. Data stored on your device

Everything you create in vikket (matches, ball-by-ball events, players, teams, tournaments, player photos and settings) is stored locally on your device. It never leaves your device unless you export a backup file yourself or turn on optional sync.

2. What we don't do

No advertising and no ad networks.
No selling, renting or sharing of personal data with anyone.
No requirement to create an account to use the app.

3. Usage analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 on vikket.com and app.vikket.com to understand how vikket is used: pages opened, app opens, matches started and finished, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers, and the data is processed by Google on our behalf under Google's privacy policy.

We use this only to understand and improve vikket, not for advertising, and we do not sell it. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking analytics in your browser; vikket works exactly the same either way.

4. Optional sync

If you choose to turn on cross-device sync, we collect and store:

Your email address, used only to sign you in with a one-time code and to identify your backup. No passwords are ever created or stored.
Your app data snapshot, the same matches, players, teams, tournaments and photos described above, stored so it can follow you to another phone.

This data is stored with our hosting processor (Supabase) in an access-controlled database where each account can only ever read and write its own row, and is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by the provider. We use it for nothing except making sync work.

5. Deleting your account and data

In the app: Settings → Sync across devices → Delete account & cloud data. This permanently deletes your email, your sign-in and your cloud snapshot. Data already on your phone stays on your phone (delete it via Settings → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app).

You can also email support@vikket.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account within 30 days.

6. Backups you export

The backup file you can download from Settings is created on your device and saved wherever you choose. It is your copy, under your control; we never see it.

7. Children

vikket is suitable for all ages. It asks for no personal details to play, shows no ads, and has no social features, chat or user-generated content visible to others.

8. Retention

Sync data is kept only while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it permanently. We keep no server logs tied to your identity.

9. Your rights

You can export all of your data at any time (Settings → Back up everything), correct it in the app, and delete it as described above. If you have any privacy question or request, contact support@vikket.com.

10. Changes to this policy

If we ever change what data vikket handles, we will update this page and change the effective date above. We will never quietly add ads or start selling your data. That would be the opposite of the point of vikket.
